What is your agency motto?
“anytime…anywhere”

What sets your agency apart?
Our uniqueness! We put everything out there in the open. No hidden fees, no hassles, just a decade of industry experience with competitive rates and accurate court reporting services.

What advice would you give students or those just entering the field of court reporting on how to align themselves with an agency?
You should go in ready and willing to take any job big or small. Don’t set restrictions on yourself and never be afraid to ask questions or to go for help. “You don’t learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over.” ― Richard Branson

Since your agency first opened, what do you feel has changed the most in the industry?
The technology is definitely something that has changed a lot since the beginning. Need a transcript right now? Let us send you a complimentary e-transcript. Need to schedule a depo but the weather is bad? Just set up a video conference.

Where is the strangest place your agency has been asked to take a deposition?
The strangest place we had to take a deposition was at the victim’s apartment. Since we typically take depositions in an office setting, it was a little strange to have to go take a depo in a person’s home, and if that wasn’t weird enough already, we weren’t allowed to put our name or logo on any of the transcripts because the attorney feared “they” would come looking for her through us!

What is the funniest thing you or someone at your agency has heard during a deposition or in the courtroom?
Our court reporter and the deponent were at out Daytona Beach office awaiting a phone call from the agency that set up the depo to call in and get started. There seemed to be some technical difficulty that day and the phones were being anything but cooperative. After finally beginning the deposition, the agency’s representative told our reporter she needed to put us on hold and grab some necessary documents to continue. This would have been fine if she had actually remembered to put us on hold! Next thing you hear on the other end is “that f**** liar!” When confronted by the attorney and the witness as to what the representative said, she claimed it was “I tripped on a wire!”

What do you like most about LiveDeposition?
The affordability and the availability and the awesome customer service. In this field, it’s all about last minute add on’s and LiveDeposition is always available, whether it’s to schedule a depo or answer a question or fix an issue. Knowing that we are always going to receive the assistance we need in a timely fashion is definitely the best part about working with LiveDeposition.
