Self-summary in three words:
Adventurous outgoing spirit

When did you begin your court reporting career?
1997

What sparked your interest in choosing Court Reporting as a profession?
I love the law and medicine, and this was a great hybrid of the two.

What advice would you give students or those just entering the field of Court Reporting?
Your dedication to reporting doesn’t end after school. The work you put into passing school is the same you will need to be an amazing reporter. But, in the end, it is definitely worth it.

What is your favorite thing about being a reporter?
I learn something new every day.

As a Court Reporter, what is your worst nightmare or biggest pet peeve?
As I ask a witness to stop talking over people, the witness talks over me.

Where is the strangest place you have taken a deposition?
In the woods in a “cabin” that was used for a town meeting. There was a generator running outside for electricity. Yeah, it was as soft as a hummingbird… NOT!

What is the funniest thing you have heard during a deposition?
Well, the best that I have SEEN was while walking into a jail, there was a lockbox for your gun. The sign was written in Braille.

When not court reporting, how do you spend your free time?
I will let you know as soon as I have some .

What do you like most about LiveDeposition?
That I am not tied to using iPads.  It opens up the options for streaming. I also love the support.
