In May of 2012 LiveDeposition was contacted by Marc Greenberg regarding a documentary he was putting together called “For the Record”. Marc told us that the documentary would dive into the world of court reporting, captioning, CART work, and the “steno culture”, past, present and future.
When the opportunity arose for us to take part in a project that not only would educate and inform those who watch it, but also be a monumental part of court reporting history, we were more than eager to jump on board as a sponsor.
Filming for the project started June of 2012 and the first screening was held on August 1, 2014 at the NCRA 2014 Annual Convention in San Francisco, CA. Yesterday they announced that “For the Record” will make its World Premiere at the 2015 South by Southwest Film Festival. Only about 1% of documentary submissions make it through the doors to premiere at the festival and we are thrilled “For the Record” was chosen.
This is really exciting news! We want to congratulate Marc and all that have been involved in the process of creating such a historical masterpiece and look forward to it’s success!
