LiveDeposition Announces Company Name Change and Rebranding

LiveLitigation

LOS ANGELES, CA, August 1, 2016 – LiveDeposition, a global trailblazer in legal technology, announced today that effective August 1, 2016, the company will begin operating under the name LiveLitigation.  The new name is part of a larger rebranding campaign that reflects recent changes to the company’s evolving line of litigation event software and services.

The “LiveDeposition” name has been used by the company since its launch over five years ago.  What began as a tool designed to provide attorneys and expert witnesses with a remote alternative to attending depositions, has favorably transformed into something far more universal and powerful for litigation professionals.  The variety of features built into their RemoteRealtime product, such as electronic exhibits, video conferencing, realtime streaming, and non-discoverable group chat, no longer limits usage to depositions only.  In fact, according to Dan Richmond, CEO of LiveLitigation “In addition to depositions, our products are quite often used in trials, meetings, hearings, arbitrations, and even for witness prep.  Because of this we feel the name LiveDeposition no longer accurately describes our products, and the broader market we now serve.”

Court reporters, agencies, attorneys, vendors, and other professionals in the legal industry who rely on the high caliber of products and support LiveDeposition is known for, will not experience any changes in the quality or consistency of service they receive under the new name.

The complete transition from LiveDeposition to LiveLitigation is expected to happen over an extended period of time and will be implemented across all of the company’s products and marketing resources throughout the calendar years of 2016-2017.  The first step will begin with the rollout of a new logo, a logo very similar to what the company currently has.  For the time being, the new logo will include the words “Also Known as LiveDeposition.”  This way clients and end-users will be able to slowly become acclimated to the change.

Mr. Richmond went on to say, “LiveLitigation wants to be looked at as the preferred solution for all litigation events, both local (on-site) and remote.  Far too often we hear, “Oh you only work with depositions?”, or “I didn’t know your products could be used in the courtroom as well.”  When you look at the product we started with five years ago and compare that to the products we currently offer, it is a complete night and day difference.  We love the name LiveDeposition, all our clients know us as LiveDeposition, but that name, our legacy name, no longer describes our company and products to the fullest.  We feel the name LiveLitigation is a more accurate portrayal of our amazing live litigation event solutions.  We are excited for the road ahead and are looking forward to this much needed change, as well as the new opportunities it will bring about.”
