What is the background of your agency in 140 characters?
Complex, multiparty litigation with particular expertise in patent, antitrust, and MDL matters. 24/7 access to dedicated case managers.

What is your agency motto?
Depositions worldwide.

What sets your agency apart?
Complete, unfailing dedication to providing the best service to our clients and the best support to our reporters and other service providers. We remain family-owned, so we never have to make a decision based on stockholder interests rather than those of our clients and reporters.

What advice would you give students or those just entering the field of court reporting on how to align themselves with an agency?
Ask other reporters. Do they provide you with word lists and prior transcripts? Do they pay promptly or do they expect you to wait until their clients pay them? Do they listen closely to your level of expertise and try to match you with jobs where you will be successful?

Since your agency first opened, what do you feel has changed the most in the industry?
More clients are interested in higher-level services such as remote realtime. Law firms on large cases are more likely to form defense groups and demand reduced rates. Our large national competitors have chosen to buy up smaller local agencies and put out discounted work products with little regard to quality.

Where is the strangest place your agency has been asked to take a deposition?
There are many! Inside prisons, within Palestine, in the breakfast bar of a rural motel…

What is the funniest thing you or someone at your agency has heard during a deposition or in the courtroom?
Heard over the phone from a secretary scheduling a deposition:
HLS calendar: Would you like to have the depo videotaped?
Secretary: “Absolutely not. We are doing it live!”

What do you like most about LiveLitigation?
The support. We know that our clients, our reporters and videographers, our location IT contacts, and even our salespeople can always arrange for testing, technical assistance, and demos.

Anything else you would like to share?
LiveLitigation has been a partner as well as a trusted vendor, arranging for demos to impress potential clients, providing assistance for worldwide depos taking place in every conceivable time zone, and help for reporters who are new to the remote streaming deposition scenario. They help us to maintain our reputation for innovation and service.
